Cian PLC has appointed Vladimir Verkhoshinsky to its Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Verkhoshinsky joins Douglas Gardner (chairman) and Simon Baker on the Audit Committee.

Maxim Melnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Cian, said:

"I am very pleased to welcome Vladimir Verkhoshinsky as a member of the company's Board of Directors and the Audit Committee. Vladimir Verkhoshinsky has a unique, more than 15 years of experience in senior positions in the banking and financial sectors, he is a very strong manager with extensive experience in the active development of large successful organizations."

Verkhoshinsky already holds a position as CEO and Member of the Board at Alfa-Bank—the largest private bank in Russia. He was recognized as the best bank manager in Russia in 2019-2021 by Russian newspaper Kommersant.

Boardroom changes at Cian are a dime a dozen at the moment—Melnikov is leaving his role as CEO to take up a new position as Executive Chairperson of the Board to be replaced by incoming CEO Dmitry Grigoryev, who steps up from CPO. In turn, Artem Glebov becomes CPO.

Cian also lost Giles Blanchard and Chloe Harford from the board recently, with Harford stating "geopolitical developments" as her reason for stepping down.

The company posted mixed financial results in April, including revenue increases of 42% Y-o-Y to RUB 6,033 million, and Comprehensive Loss widened by 355% to RUB 2857 million.
