PropertyGuru has appointed Disha Goenka Das as the Group's new CMO.

As CMO, Das will oversee the Group’s Brand strategy, corporate communications function, as well as the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) mandate. She replaces Bjorn Sprengers, who left the company in December.

Das boasts a resume including big names like Google and Twitter, and she will report directly to CEO Hari V. Krishnan. She leaves her role as Global Marketing Director at Twitter after nearly nine years at the social media platform.

She said:

"I am thrilled to join PropertyGuru Group at such an exciting and defining juncture in the company’s journey. Their vision and latest brand positioning, which seeks to be a trusted advisor that guides every step of the property journey deeply resonates with me.

"My role is an exciting opportunity to contribute and make an impact on the Group’s role in the Southeast Asia property industry and I look forward to bringing my experience in tech and marketing to help offer solutions that continue to better all our stakeholder experiences."

PropertyGuru is on the charge at the moment. The Group announced a partnership with CTOS—Malaysia’s leading Credit Reporting Agency—in August. The Group revealed its updated 'Guided By Guru' brand positioning in October before entering the home services industry with the acquisition of Sendhelper, also in October.

The Group then completed the long-awaited acquisition of iProperty Malaysia in December, taking a 100% stake in the previously REA Group-owned Malaysia and Thailand entities.
