Keepe and Zillow Group join forces to help property managers and landlords

Keepe and Zillow partner up, combining on-demand network of maintenance specialist thought Zillow Rental Manager in five cities across America

Maintenance platform servicing the rental industry, Keepe, has recently announced that Zillow Group will offer its landlords and property managers a better way to find and order maintenance technicians for their tenants in a more streamlined process. Keepe offers a network of independent maintenance workers which can be requested via the Keepe, and now Zillow, platforms, specifically on Zillow Rental Manager. Zillow clients in five major markets including Greater Seattle, the San Francisco Bay area, Greater Portland, Greater San Diego, and the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

“For landlords and property managers with portfolios of single-family homes and small apartment buildings, sourcing high quality maintenance technicians on an ongoing basis is the number one problem,” said Rishi Mathew, co-founder and CEO, Keepe.

Keep's offers include easy submission for maintenance requests for landlords and property managers, automated scheduling with tenants, automated completed maintenance requests, notifications when work is scheduled and completed, and admin perks with maintenance request logs so managers can keep the entire portfolio of rental units more effectively organized.

Rental property maintenance is one of the most important parts of property management, according to recent research within the real estate industry. Freddie Mac survey recently showed 82% of renters said "freedom from home maintenance responsibilities" is one of the main reasons for renting instead of owning. In another survey by Buildium and the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), in 2018, property managers said maintenance is the top challenge they face in their line of work.

Maintenance integrated with technology is becoming increasingly more important to landlords and property managers. They are starting to use software solutions to bring more transparency and efficiency to the whole process. Investing in this type of technology not only helps the landlords and property managers, but also for renters and property owners. Keepe and Zillow's partnership plans to aid in that process.
