New technology gives the opportunity to show off your skills and, above all, creativity in a much more original and persuasive way. This explains the inception of LiveJobs, the latest Portuguese startup for job placements.

The platform aims to transform the way companies discover and hire the best talent, using simple and intuitive software to screen pre-interviews by video, which are each associated with the profile of each candidate.

The concept was created by Rui Parafita, who has worked for several years in the area of recruitment. "You have to automate your recruiting processes, because the stage of resolving resumes is where you spend the most time. On average, 75% of recruiters' time is used to screen resumes," he explained in a recent interview.

To search for a job on the platform, you just have to register on the online portal and create your profile. Then choose the area of interest, the functions to be performed and the most suitable job offers. To apply for a job, you will need to do your pre-interview digital through the video software that is available on the platform.

The questions are made by the company and answered in small interactive videos. "What do you like to do in your free time?" or "When are you available to start a new position?" are some of the possible questions.

On the other hand, it also makes life for recruiters much easier. "Even their motivation as professionals becomes much greater as they receive more information from the candidates through short videos instead of wasting time analyzing resumes and interviews that could be done early in the process," Parafita confirmed.

Companies can also use a custom candidate screening system: CV Tracking. If they have received many resumes and need to shorten the interview process, they can simply set key questions they want answered, add the emails of the people who meet those requirements and notify them to respond by video.

The LiveJobs platform came to fruition in December 2018, but it's an old concept: "The video is fashionable and it's here to stay. Nowadays, everyone makes videos and shares them on their social networks. Why not bring this technology to the recruitment area and help candidates show their full potential?" asks Parafita. "Thus, companies also reduce the costs associated with recruiting processes and, at the same time, transform a slow process into an interactive and efficient experience."
