OnTheMarket Launches Portal-First Telephony Nurturing Service

June 16, 2023

After a successful pilot launch last year, OnTheMarket has launched a portal-first sales and lettings data nurturing service to help estate agents generate fresh revenue from their existing database and win more instructions through valuations.

"Your Property Services" (YPS) is a sales and lettings data nurturing service that helps estate agents generate additional revenue and win more instructions through valuations.

In effect, YPS is a team of dedicated specialists that acts as an extension of an estate agent's in-house team, providing support including contacting historical leads and nurturing underused databases. The service already has customers signed up from last year's soft launch and has now been rolled out nationwide.

Jason Tebb, Chief Executive Officer of OnTheMarket, said:

"We are delighted to be providing agents with Your Property Services as an extension of their branch. Our dedicated team of specialists are experts in taking applicants, potential sellers and landlords and nurturing leads to serve them 'oven ready' to our agents for a valuation appointment, for example, or to find the most willing and able buyers and tenants.

"This new highly cost-effective service levels the playing field and helps agencies maximise the value of a database they've spent years building, but don't have the resources to fully exploit.

"The launch of YPS is another key step in our evolution towards becoming a 'one stop shop' technology company that provides value-add services for agents across the entire property ecosystem. Most importantly, YPS solves a problem in an innovative and highly effective way helping our clients generate additional revenue. We are, after all, the agents' portal and our customers are at the heart of everything we do."

The PR machine at OnTheMarket is in full operation—it was named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2023 in May.

The company recently extended a key strategic partnership with Canopy to integrate rent passports for tenants; while recent quality-of-life improvements include new buyer qualification tools for agents and the imminent arrival of 'TecHub', a new estate agency automation platform set to launch by July.

OnTheMarket remains a majority agent-owned portal after shareholders opted to renew with OnTheMarket at the end of their initial five-year lock-in period, with 2022's full-year revenues of £34M in line with expectations.
