We have a people roundup for you this week after a couple of interesting moves in Europe...
The Italian real estate marketplace operator Immobiliare has appointed the company's cofounder as president of Mutui, Immobiliare's mortgage brokerage app.
Carlo Giordano, who previously served as CEO between 2006 and 2022 and resigned from the board in 2025, will now lead the growth strategy of Mutui, which doubled its mortgage brokering revenues to €1.5bn in 2025.
Mutui allows users to search, compare, and apply for a mortgage, free of charge. Mutui is partnered with several leading Italian banks, including Intesa Sanpaolo, Crédit Agricole Italia, and BPER Banca.
In a post on Mitui's company's LinkedIn page, the company said, "[Giordano's] vision will support our mission to lead together with CEO Donato Ruberto, the digital evolution of the industry through the 'remote mortgage' model."
The Israeli generalised classifieds platform Yad2 has promoted Eli Zerah to CTO.
A post on Zerah's LinkedIn account said:
"I am happy to update that in recent weeks I have assumed the position of CTO of Yad2. Behind the platform that we are all familiar with is an R&D department of 80 technologists, who work on a scale of tens of millions of hits and influence the daily lives of millions of Israelis. The transition from classic development to the world of AI Agents is changing not only the technology but the rules of the game. The work processes, the roles of the developers, the pace of development – everything has been rewritten. And we have a real opportunity to be part of this change and influence it. Personally, I'm looking for strong executives to take responsibility for developing and leading key business verticals teams in Yad2." [Translated from Hebrew]
Yad2 was recently acquired for over a billion dollars by the UK-based Apax Partners.
