We have a couple of short people moves for you this week.
The Nordic marketplace operator Vend has appointed Fredrika Ling and Niklas Derouche to its new AI Unit.
According to a post on the company's LinkedIn page, the AI unit will work "entirely outside our standard product roadmaps, with the mandate to move beyond incremental improvements and build genuinely new experiences for our Nordic marketplaces."
Ling and Derouche will bring "entrepreneurial expertise and technical execution" to the team, according to Vend CEO Christian Printzell Halvorsen:
"Fredrika and Niklas represent the perfect balance of entrepreneurial experience and technical execution. I am certain that their combined unique expertise and skill sets will enable Vend to innovate at the frontier of our industry."
Andrea Pugnetti (COO) and Andrea Moraglia (CTO) have left the Italian proptech Wikicasa to set up an IT consultancy.
Speaking on LinkedIn, Pugnetti said Seta Labs aims to "design and develop technology products: from bringing an idea to life from scratch to improving existing software and building tools that make a company’s day-to-day work easier," encompassing digital platforms, CRMs, apps, AI integrations and more.
Wikicasa recently gained a new investor in CoStar Group, which took a 30% stake in the business.
