Point2 Homes reports 7 million visits to platform

Real estate marketplace Point2 Homes reached a new traffic milestone in January 2019, hitting 7 million visits. Canadian users make up the bulk of the traffic and their number increased by 43% compared to the same period in 2018. The platform's organic traction certifies its notoriety as a trusted real estate data source

Real estate portal Point2 Homes kicks off the new year with record-breaking traffic figures. Boasting over 7 million visits in January 2019, the website registered a 53% rise relative to the previous year.

Total pageviews on the platform surpassed 40 million during the first month of 2019, leading to a 54% year-over-year increase. 47% of visits were brought in by new users.

Organic traffic statistics confirm that Point2 Homes is one of the most trusted sources of real estate information in North America. This January, more than 77% of the total traffic volume was made up of organic visits (5.5 million). Moreover, organic traffic saw a spectacular 60% boost compared to the same month last year.

More than half of the visits on the website came from Canada, a number that was up 43% compared to 2018. Toronto remained the most appealing real estate market on the platform, generating almost 457,000 visits and showcasing the highest traffic increase of all Canadian cities (61% year-over-year). Ottawa stood out as the second-most visited section, boasting over 167,000 visits and a 42% hike. Rising by 50% year-over-year, Calgary took the third spot, registering a little over 155,000 visits.

The website has also increased its popularity in the U.S., boasting an outstanding 82% year-over-year rise in visits. When it comes to international destinations, Mexico continued to attract the most traffic, accounting for almost 166,000 visits in January 2019, while the Dominican Republic saw the biggest boost, 58%.

Social traffic on the platform grew a staggering 115% this January compared to a year ago. On the same note, the Point2 Homes Facebook page has brought together a larger community, surpassing a total of 59,000 real estate professionals and homebuyers.

The overall traffic hike on the portal means more leads for agents as well. Real estate professionals received 30% more leads this January compared to 2018. Moreover, both Point2 and non-Point2 members can now advertise their listings directly on the website and take advantage of these major exposure opportunities.
