Worker-centric online staffing company launched in Alabama in 2017, Spur, has recently added five new hires to the management team. The company is continuing to grow its team in 2019, with over 75 new hires anticipated in software development/engineering, marketing, sales, and operations.

Spur's need to grow its corporate team is a direct result of the company's tremendous growth in 2018. Spur provides a mobile and web-based staffing platform for workers and workplaces to connect with one another for filling hourly jobs. The company has expanded its services to various organizations in seven new states in 2018 and plans for continued expansion in new and existing markets in 2019.

Spur's vision is to be the most worker-centric staffing company by providing endless opportunities for workers to improve their lives through reliable work opportunities, access to better quality benefits, and more training opportunities. To help deliver on its vision, Spur has hired five key employees over the past six months with expertise from operations and sales to finance and digital marketing:

Joy Moore
The former Vice President of Operations for CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner), Joy Moore has extensive experience in customer relations and support, as well as marketing and engagement. She relocated to Huntsville from Washington, D.C. in early 2018 and joined Spur in June as the company's new Director of Worker Engagement. In her position, Moore is managing a team focused on increasing Spur's worker satisfaction by helping workers access new opportunities on Spur, as well as helping them to grow their careers through training and development opportunities.

Justin Havrilla
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, former U.S. Navy flight instructor and distinguished territory account manager for Panasonic Corporation of North America, Justin Havrilla is Spur's new Director of Sales. Havrilla began working for Spur in early December and is using his experience in program management, operations, and sales to lead and grow Spur's expansion into new markets throughout the U.S.

Aimee Rush
As the former Program Manager at SCI Technology, Inc., Aimee Rush built a successful career in managing client relations and program management. In October, Rush joined Spur's team as the Director of Workplace Engagement. In her position, Rush is using her client relations expertise to improve Spur's customer implementation process and increase customer satisfaction by making it easier for workplaces to get their vacant jobs filled quickly and efficiently through the Spur platform.

Matt Grimes
Matt Grimes, former Program Manager and Senior Finance Supervisor for SCI Technology, Inc., is Spur's new Financial Analyst. Grimes joined Spur's team in October. In this role, he is leveraging his background in finance to oversee financial analysis and modeling to help drive compliance and growth.

Joseph Reynoso
Joining Spur in Chicago, IL, Joseph Reynoso is the company's new Demand Generation Manager. Reynoso joined Spur's team in October and oversees all digital marketing and lead generation activities. Reynoso has spent the past five years designing and managing integrated marketing campaigns for colleges and universities around the country. At Spur, he is using his expertise to connect forward-thinking workplaces around the country with qualified and motivated workers.

The entire Spur team works diligently to make a positive impact on all of the workers and workplaces who use the Spur platform. That focus on workers extends to the company's corporate team members who enjoy competitive salaries and benefits, including stock options for all employees and a flexible work environment. Perks include gym memberships, free books, and group book studies, catered meals, lunch-n-learns, socials, and provisions for conferences and learning.

"We're on a mission to help as many workers as possible improve their lives by giving them more control over their work life and more opportunities to succeed," said Glenn Clayton, Founder, and CEO of Spur.
