For the past eight years, OnlineMarketplaces.com has been bringing you real estate marketplace industry news and analysis and in 2024 we’re looking to do a lot more.

Here’s what’s new for you, from us this year…

Podcasts

We’ve put it off for too long. We know most of you read us at work but we think a lot of you might like to listen to us while cooking dinner or out for a jog as well.

We’ll be bringing you analysis and guest interviews regularly on the Property Portal Watch Pod. Click the link below to watch the first episode.

If you’d like to come on as a guest, fill in this form and we’ll get back to you.

Watch episode one on CoStar’s residential market leadership chances below.

PropTech coverage

The world of property technology is becoming ever more intertwined with what we consider marketplace businesses.

What’s out there is so exciting and diverse that we have decided to broaden our coverage. Expect to see more news, views and interviews of PropTech companies on Online Marketplaces in 2024.

"Real estate marketplaces are always just a subsection of PropTech. It's just one element of the overall string from buying through to selling renting, financing. More and more users are interacting with Prop tech applications outside of the real estate marketplace world. So it makes sense for us to broaden our horizons to engage with the industry far more." Online Marketplaces Chairman and PropTech investor, Simon Baker

Industry directories

We have a lot of useful information about real estate portals and the service providers that cater to them on spreadsheets. Our New Year's resolution is to get as much of it into the public domain as we can and help one side of the industry find the other.

We’re working on a directory of portals and another one of service provider partners.

More of what we know you like

We’re a small team but we covered a lot in 2023. We published 530 articles, 25 interviews, 21 analysis pieces and 4 opinion pieces. Our goal is to beat those numbers this year and, of course, our coverage will remain paywall and ad-free.

We’ll still be hosting the Property Portal Watch conferences. The first event of the year is in Bangkok from the 13th to the 14th of March. Check out the speaker lineup and get your tickets now.
