Zoopla Founder, Alex Chesterman, has officially backed a new conveyancing app, Thirdfort.

The app allows conveyancers’ house-moving clients to send ID, bank details and information required for anti-money laundering checks - all electronically, thus reaching their legal advisers more rapidly and securely.

Asked by The Times to nominate the best start-up technology of 2019, Chesterman refers to Thirdfort as an “example of a business solving a real problem.”

Chesterman tells the paper:

“The process of buying or selling a home hasn’t changed for decades and carries increases risks for lawyers around compliance and for consumers around fraud. Third fort tackles this with a mobile app, empowering lawyers to carry out checks with no need for physical documents.”
