REA Group is taking part in global relief efforts for the Australian bushfire crisis to help provide assistance to those most affected by the disaster.

REA Group CEO, Owen Wilson said like all Australians, the REA had been shocked and saddened by the overwhelming impact Australia’s bushfires are having on local communities and the environment.

“We know nothing can take away the devastation experienced by so many, and we will continue to explore ways to help impacted communities in this time of need,” Wilson said.

Relief measures introduced to date include:

  • Bushfire Relief Support Package for REA Group customers who have been impacted by the fires. The package includes options for extending advertising campaigns free of charge, refunds on advertising for properties that have been heavily damaged, and the waiver of fees for customers whose businesses have been significantly disrupted.
  • A new free service on share accommodation website, Flatmates.com.au, has been introduced to help people list their spare rooms for those who may need emergency accommodation.
