OLX Acquires Unique Residential Development Platform, Solidifying its Top Position in Polish Market

February 25, 2021

Big news in the Polish market today. OLX has announced that it acquired Obido.pl, a residential developers platform. OLX chose Obido because of its uniqueness.

It facilitates the selling of new developments, something that most other classifieds in the region do. With the combined traffic of OLX (some 4 million monthly users), Obido.pl will be able to grow its own audience, while OLX will gain a unique service that will keep it above the competition in Poland.

OLX is everywhere. It has done deals in MENA, South America, LATAM, Africa, and of course, Europe.

Last year, Ringier Axel Springer Polska Capital Group absorbed Morizon.pl and Gratka.pl with GetHome.pl in the works.

Director at  communication and marketing agency, real estate expert, business journalist, and advisor, Adam Białas, posted on his LinkedIn:

“Mergers, acquisitions, attractive promotions and payment terms, innovative technologies and tools - portals outdo each other in ideas for acquiring customers and compete strongly for a high position on the lucrative market.”
