The Australian challenger portal operator View Media Group (VMG) has announced a partnership deal with REIP, a real estate agent association.
The exact commercial nature of the agreement was not disclosed but according to a press release the collaboration brings together VMG's products and REIP's agent members.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with REIP and further enhancing our industry-first approach for agents and agencies across the country," said Antony Catalano, Executive Chairman of View Media Group.
“Since launching the view.com.au platform in Spring last year we have become the fastest growing property portal in Australia with massive consumer support for our offering. We also have many of the leading agency groups embedding VMG’s products and services into their ecosystem. Launching the partnership with REIP is yet another way we can unite with the industry and continue to deliver both short and long term benefits for our customers.”
Speaking about the partnership, Sadhana Smiles, CEO of REIP, commented: “We are excited about our partnership with View, with their advanced technology and growing reach, View are poised to deliver value to their customers and drive innovation in the industry. REIP will continue to partner with Portals providing free listings for our members on each site.”
VMG is the operator of the view.com.au real estate portal as well as B2B utilities service provider Beevo and marketing specialist The Today Business. The company is led by former Domain boss Antony Catalano and has declared itself to be on a mission to take on incumbents in the Australian market.
View uses a freemium model for listings and distinguishes itself from other portals by monetising mainly from adjacent revenue streams such as utilities and finance as well as its adjacent PropTech products.
Like other challenger portals around the world, View recently attracted pushback on some of its claims after fellow Aussie challenger Homely took issue with View's growth claims.
