Axel Springer’s proptech channel, AVIV Group, has announced another new name to its leadership team. With deep financial experience, Bettina Curtze will be AVIV Group’s new Chief Financial Officer.

On the announcement, CEO of AVIV Group, Ait Voncke, said:

“I’m delighted to have Bettina with her deep financial expertise join the AVIV Group leadership team as we are further operationally integrating the companies and are investing in technology and product to build highly relevant marketplaces for seekers, owners, agents and other constituents alike.”

Curtze is a financial veteran, having experience in capital markets, M&A, venture capitals, investments, and digital business models. She has held various positions in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Barclays. Most recently, she was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Investments at Rocket Internet where she was responsible for capital market communication, the development of its IPO, as well as the development and implementation of two major internet sector-focused venture capital funds in Europe.

Curtze said:

“I’m very excited to be joining AVIV at this pivotal time and to have the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial setting with such successful companies and highly accomplished teams.”

In her new role, Curtze will support growth in finance and legal functions at AVIV. She will leverage her digital business model experience surrounding startup growth with insights AVIV can utilize to further its mission to digitize real estate transactions in its markets.

The AVIV Group encompasses Axel Springer’s online classifieds businesses for real estate, automotive, and general verticals and operates under the national brands of SeLoger Group, Meilleurs Agents, Immowelt, Immoweb, and Yad2. AVIV Group has had a number of recent leadership appointments including Benoit Jolin as the new Chief Product Officer, and Ait Voncke as CEO. Curtze will report directly to Voncke in her new position.
