Matterport, the company behind industry-leading digital twin technology, has released a suite of new features and shared its "Automating the Future" mantra in anticipation of a busy 2024.

New releases include automatic room-by-room labelling and dimensions, colour-coded and company-branded floorplans, and property reports that summarise the physical listing.

The latest components involve methods to leverage data within published 3D tours for additional marketing assets.

A press release outlining Mattertport's latest collection of insight-driven features uses the term Matterport Property Intelligence as the umbrella term for new releases:

"With Property Intelligence, Matterport users can now access vital property information instantly – from automatically calculating square footage of a space, to determining ceiling height and wall dimensions, to exporting that data to MLS listings – all from a Matterport digital twin."

The press release also highlighted a new "Make Offer" call-to-action at the start of a virtual property tour, alongside the listing agent's business card to get a deal underway. A CAD file for architects and construction companies is also available.

Matterport has also released a mini-map view for commercial spaces and estates, and the option to virtually declutter spaces of their furniture.

RJ Pittman, CEO at Matterport, said:

"Since day one, our mission has been to fundamentally transform how people understand and access the built world.

"Our 3D digital twin technology set the industry standard for the virtual tour, and now we’re delivering unprecedented information and customization capabilities to our customers for any type of property anywhere in the world."

Many eyes will be on the company's Q4 numbers set to be released on February 20th. Matterport recorded revenues of $39.6 million in Q2 2023—representing its fifth consecutive quarter of guidance-beating revenue in August's results—but the firm remains a loss-making company, registering losses to the tune of $20M in the same period and laying off 30% of its workforce in July.

Nevertheless, integrations and partnerships keep coming. Matterport launched an AI integration in September 2023 and followed it up by entering a multi-year marketing agreement with rental specialist Vacasa in December.
