Randstad Iberia has recorded a turnover of 369 million euros during the second quarter of 2019, which represents an organic growth of 2% compared to the same period of 2018. For its part, EBITA has remained at 20 million, and the EBITA margin has continued to improve, going from 5.3% in 2018 to 5.4% this year.

Spain drives the growth of Randstad Iberia

These results have been attributed to the positive evolution of Randstad Spain in all its business lines and to a greater impact of technology on its service models.

The 3% increase in income in Spain in Q2 / 2019 compared to Q2 / 2018 is due to the strong performance of all the company's business areas without exception, from temporary work or selection services and technologies, to outsourcing services or human capital consulting. This global improvement is consistent and continues to reinforce Randstad's position as a Global HR Services company with a solid combination of talent and technology in its value propositions to both clients and candidates.

Randstad Holdings turnover decreased 1.7% in the last year

The worldwide turnover of the Randstad group has reached 5.9 million euros in the second quarter of 2019, which represents a reduction of 1.7% compared to the figure recorded in 2018, which was over 6 million.

"We have achieved solid results in the second quarter of 2019. The firmness of gross margins and a balanced management of costs compensate for the difficult macroeconomic conditions in Europe today," says the group's Global CEO, Jacques van den Broek. "The organic growth of our revenues was slightly negative, reflecting the slowdown in market growth, especially in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, mainly due to the weakness of the automotive-related industries. Our market share continued to grow in several countries, while maintaining a strong price discipline. Our great regional diversification continued to achieve good results, since Asia Pacific and the Latin American region contributed significantly to our growth and profitability. In addition, the progress of our digital strategy was adequate, which resulted in a successful global migration to the cloud and the application of a new front-office system in Germany and Japan."

He adds, "On the other hand, the good news is not limited to Randstad, but to the entire private employment sector. We are pleased to see that the declaration of the centenary of the International Labor Organization (ILO) recognizes us for stimulating an inclusive and good labor market regulated for a people-centered work future."
