Indian property portal Housing.com has announced a listings syndication deal with the newly launched FSBO marketplace MyGate Homes.

The deal will see users of MyGate Homes simultaneously list their properties on Housing.com with the idea being greater exposure for the listings while allowing Housing to expand its customer base.

MyGate Homes is a marketplace for FSBO listings from among India's wealthy gated community residents which was launched in September 2021. The platform was conceived by the company behind the popular MyGate app which is used by the residents and operators of gated communities to manage access, security, billing and provide information.

The MyGate app is widely used among middle and upper-class Indians living in gated communities and with access to information about these communities which is not available elsewhere, the company believes it is "the only player capable of guaranteeing owner-only listings and offering reliable insight into the current state of a community".

Now thanks to the partnership with REA Group-owned Housing.com, users of the MyGate Home marketplace will have their listings displayed on both platforms and make the most of Housing.com's nearly 12 million monthly visits (according to Similarweb) from across India.

Commenting on the partnership, Dhruv Agarwala, CEO of the newly rebranded REA India said:

“Our partnership with the largest community app in the country would be highly beneficial for both the platforms."

"While buyers and tenants on Housing.com will have more options to select from, given the large number of listings that could potentially come on our platform through this strategic partnership, it will enable MyGate users to seamlessly use our platform to list their properties to get access to millions of potential buyers and tenants,"

Since launching last month, MyGate Homes has attracted some 10,000 listings and is expected to reach 25,000 by the end of the year including both sales and rentals.
