Vacasa names Jeff Flitton as new CTO, to replace departing Tim Goodwin

January 16, 2020

Jeff Flitton moves from VP of Engineering to CTO, Vacasa reports.

Vacation rental management platform giant, Vacasa, has recently announced that Jeff Flitton has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer of the company. Flitton was previously Vacasa's Vice President of Engineering. In this new role, Flitton takes over from the former Chief Technology Officer, Tim Goodwin.

The move comes as Goodwin, who has been with the company for the past three years, relocates to California to pursue a new opportunity as CTO of healthcare communication platform, TigerConnect.

Goodwin can be credited as a cultivator of Vacasa's technology arm. From his time at Vacasa, Goodwin has scaled the company's platform from supporting just 5,000 vacation rental homes to its more than 25,000 vacation homes global inventory. Vacasa can thank Goodwin for his dedication in creating an inclusive workforce through diversity, equity and inclusion programs and partnerships during his time as CTO.

Previously, Goodwin connected with Treehouse and the TalentPath program to recruit and train a class of tech entrepreneurs, who went on to take roles as software engineers. Vacasa will welcome a new class of technology apprentices in the coming year.

Vacasa is an international vacation rental management company based in Portland, Oregon, United States. It provides property management services for over 24,000 vacation rentals in the U.S., Europe, Central and South America, and South Africa. Vacasa manages properties in 31 U.S. states and 17 countries.
