Homely, Australia’s largest industry-backed online real estate marketplace, has released another industry-first feature in the Australian portal space. Comments on Collections by Homely allows users to leave comments on property listings in shared collections for others to see.

Comments on Collections extends Homely's Collections product—which already lets users create their own personal 'collection' of listings and share them with family and friends—to include an additional comments section.

Comments soft launches this month. Any comments added to the listings post in real time, and people added to a collection receive a notification when a new comment is added.

Luke Kenyon, Head of Product at Homely, said:

"Finding your perfect home is most often a shared experience with others, whether it’s finding that perfect rental with friends, or moving somewhere new with your partner.

"Our consumers have voiced their frustration at having to use separate messaging platforms to communicate on listings they’re interested in. So, we extended our Collections product to not only include the ability to rate properties, but comment on these so others can see. Not only is the process more engaging for people, it saves property seekers time while making the search a little bit easier."

Homely is known for its clean, award-winning UI, constant innovation and speed to market with new products and features as well as its award-winning apps. Indeed, Homely's mobile app was rated best in the market by us, Online Marketplaces, last September.

"We’ve had resoundingly positive feedback about this product. It encourages collaboration and conversation on our site, which adds to its already-top tier usability," said Kenyon.

Adam Spencer, CEO and co-founder at Homely, said: “Homely is at a fantastic inflection point right now. Our agility means we can listen to our customers and consumers and deliver on this faster than others.
