Industry-owned portal Homely has revealed that it became Australia's number three portal for the first time in 2022, based on website and app visits over the course of the year.

Homely recorded revenue increases of 58% for FY22.

Co-founder and chief executive Adam Spencer was quick to point out Homely's investment in SEO and marketing were key pillars in the portal's challenge to Australia's traditional duopoly of Realestate.com.au and Domain.

Realestateview drops to number four in the rankings.

In a story published on Australian outlet realestatebusiness.com, Spencer said: "2023 is going to be a huge year for us. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead, especially with upcoming partnerships."

Homely has over 650 strategic partners around Australia, and the portal hired its first head of investor relations, Ben Williams, last year to manage and maintain its network of collaborators.

Online Marketplaces published a deep dive into the Australian real estate industry in December 2022. Read it in all its glory here.
