This week, we introduce a new type of roundup to reflect an influx of press releases from portals that have some bragging to do...
Zoopla has reported a 21% year-on-year increase in searches for new homes, while the portal says it has seen a 53% rise in leads delivered to homebuilders in 2025.
Zoopla has recently made new-build developments more discoverable through map view searches and listing highlights, while developers can now get early access to buyer information through contact capture on brochures and virtual tours.
Searches using Zoopla’s new home features—such as ‘new build’, ‘own new’, ‘rate reducer’ and ‘deposit unlock’—have risen by around a third over the past three months, while more high-quality leads are being sent to homebuilders.
Alex Rose, commercial director at Zoopla, said:
"Housebuilders are facing growing competition from the resale market, so ensuring new homes stand out to buyers is more important than ever. Our recent product innovations are helping drive more searches, stronger consideration for new builds, and ultimately more high-quality buyer leads for our customers. Critically, this growth in lead volume is unique to Zoopla, arriving at a vital time for housebuilders who continue to face significant pressure from suppressed sales rates and a broader drop in market demand."
These initiatives follow Zoopla’s ongoing investment in the new homes sector, including the recent acquisition of specialist portal NewHomesForSale.co.uk.
The French real estate portal Bien'Ici has released a raft of updated metrics for how people engage with its marketplace as it doubles down on media spend in 2026.
According to figures shared with Journal de l'Agence, Bien'Ici achieved record traffic in 2025, while 30% of visitors to Bien'Ici do not consult any other portal.
Meanwhile, users spend an average of 3 minutes and 45 seconds of consultation time per visit and 5.82 pages viewed per visit.
David Benbassat, President of Bien'ici, said:
"Our contact forms don’t come from impulsive clicks. Thanks to our enhanced mapping and the relevance of the information provided, users can already envision themselves in their future neighborhood and contact the professional with the conviction that they have found the ideal property. This guarantees an ultra-qualified lead."
Other figures include a bounce rate of 31.5%, which makes Bien'Ici the 'stickiest' portal in France, while the portal also has exclusive mandates for 30% of listings.
Dubizzle Group says web visits to its flagship portals, Dubizzle and Bayut, are beginning to recover after the outbreak of the war in the Middle East.
Web visits dropped by half in the immediate aftermath of the conflict's start, but have now recovered to around 80% of their original levels, according to the Group.
Haider Ali Khan, CEO at Dubizzle and Bayut, said, "Digital marketplaces offer one of the clearest real-time views of how people and businesses respond during periods of uncertainty. While there was a short pause in activity, engagement has returned quickly across multiple sectors."
