May 22, 2025

North Media, the Danish media outfit behind the country's leading rentals portal BoligPortal, has released its first quarter financial results for 2025.

Highlights include:

  • North Media revenues fell 2.6% year-on-year to DKK 310.5 million (USD 47.1 million)
  • North Media's EBITDA fell 74%, to DKK 10.6 million (USD 1.6 million)
  • North Media's net profits fell 58% to DKK 3.4 million (USD 0.5 million)
  • Revenues at BoligPortal increased 10% year-on-year, to DKK 29.2 million (USD 4.43 million)
  • BoligPortal's EBITDA was DKK 8.4 million (USD 1.27 million) at a margin of 28.8%, down slightly from 2024's 30.8%

North Media's business is primarily driven by its lucrative Last Mile distribution segment, which contributed 85% (DKK 277 million) of total revenues for the quarter.

Conversely, the company's secondary Digital Services segment, including BoligPortal, barely impacted overall performance despite contributing an extra DKK 1 million to total revenues compared to last year.

However, BoligPortal remains the dominant business in the Digital Services segment, contributing two-thirds of revenues for the quarter.

North Media's reporting suggested that BoligPortal's revenue increase was driven by partnerships, tenants and DataInsights, while its full-year forecast says Digital Services revenue will sit between DKK 170-182 million.
