Ringier Axel Springer Bring Maciej Lenartowicz onto Morizon Board

June 3, 2020

After its acquisition of leading Polish property portal Morizon in April, Ringier Axel Springer has moved to strengthen the leadership of its new subsidiary by appointing former Ringier Axel Springer Tech CFO Maciej Lenartowicz to the management team.

MZN Property (the company that runs Morizon as well as a string of smaller Polish property portals) was bought back in April for around $21 million. RAS already installed its own new tranche of Morizon advisory board appointees in the immediate aftermath of the buyout before Lenartowicz’s appointment this week.

Certainly, the Polish market is one to watch in the coming months. As well as the changes RAS is enacting at Morizon, Agora is looking to sell challenger portal Domiporta.pl and if Prosus wins the deal for eBay Classifieds, then we could see Gumtree and OLX Poland owned by the same company as well.
