The technological consultancy Between Technology and the technological employment website Ticjob have announced the launch of the first Java Challenge Spain, a challenge designed exclusively for Java developers, students and professionals.

For six weeks, enthusiasts of Java programming will compete to win the title of Between Java Champion of Spain, and then move on to a final that will take place on June 26th in Madrid.

The Java Challenge Spain has been developed by an international jury formed by a score of eminences in Java that come from both the academic and business sectors, such as Abraham Otero, organizer of the Commit and professor of the CEU San Pablo University, Carlos Sánchez, PMC Member of Apache Maven, José San Román, responsible for the development of ING Spain, or Sergi Almar i Graupera, organizer of Spring I / O, among others.

The challenge is executed in a platform of EDITx, a company created in 2017 and which for the first time manages a challenge of this type in Spain, although it has already successfully organized about 30 challenges in different countries, such as Belgium, France, United Kingdom and Germany for companies such as Google or Microsoft, and with various technologies such as Java, .net, Angular etc.

Registration is free on the web created for the challenge and open to people over 18 years old living in Spain, during the entire duration of the challenge. The contest has two parts, the online and the final phase.

At the end of the online test, the ranking with the 50 best participants will be published. The face-to-face final will be held at the offices of Ticjob in Madrid. The winner of the final will receive a check for 500 euros, and the next four finalists - positions 2, 3 ,4 and 5 - will be awarded a check worth 200 euros each.

Pau Guarro i Oliver, General Manager of Between Technology explains, "This is the first time that a challenge of this kind has been developed in Spain, both because of its duration and because of the expected participation. Our goal is to get closer to Java experts in Spain in a direct way and created especially for them."

Stephane Levesque, CEO of Ticjob.es, adds, "Java is the technology most demanded by technology companies in Spain, according to the ICT employment indicators that we have been publishing for years. The professionals appreciate new formulas of approach and interaction with the rest of the developers."
