Kleinanzeigen Reappoints Previous Head of Sales

Germany's leading marketplace site Kleinanzeigen has named Fabian Bender as the firm's head of real estate sales—four years after he left the same role.

Bender was previously with the firm from 2015-2019.

Klaus Saloch, head of sales at Kleinanzeigen, said:

"Fabian is a renowned industry expert who has been able to sharpen his profile in various responsible positions in marketing and leasing.

"I am very happy that he is a part of Kleinanzeigen again. With him we have gained important reinforcement for our real estate business.

Kleinanzeigen is owned by Norway-based Adevinta.

OfferPad CFO Lasts Just 5 Months

Jawad Ahsan has left his role at struggling iBuyer OfferPad after just five months in the job.

OfferPad says the decision was mutual, with Ahsan ineligible for any severance pay or benefits after his departure.

The Board of Directors designated James Grout, the Company’s Senior Vice President, Finance to serve as principal financial officer during the search for a permanent replacement CFO. Grout has served as Senior VP of Finance since March 2022.

Offerpad recorded losses of $20M in Q3 2023 (down from a disastrous $80M loss in Q3 2022), and also forecasted profitability by 2024.

Offerpad raised $90M in private investment in February. The iBuying proposition has already seen rivals Zillow and Redfin leave the space entirely, with OpenDoor the only remaining iBuying rival in the United States.

MagicBricks Reappoint Former CMO

MagicBricks isn't the only company hiring from the history books this month, with former Chief Marketing Officer of real estate Prasun Kumar rejoining the company in a senior role covering profit and loss, product, sales, operations, and marketing.

He left his previous role as head of marketing for new revenue verticals, content and public relations in 2021 before spending the intervening time as CMO at Indian search engine Justdial.

Kumar is an industry veteran of over 25 years, and he even has a personal Youtube channel with over 33k subscribers.
