Here's the best of this week's product and service updates around the world...
Private landlords on ImmoScout24 will now receive an initial assessment of their planned rent while creating their listing.
With the new Rent Check, landlords will receive a transparent evaluation based on comparable asking rents.
When landlords create a new listing in the ImmoScout24 platform, they will be shown the average asking rents for comparable apartments in the area.
If landlords add further information such as living space and year of construction, the local rent index and the regulations governing rent control are also taken into account, provided they are available for the specific location.
Daniel Hendel, Managing Director of ImmoScout24, said:
"Many private landlords face the question of what rent is appropriate for their apartment. With the Rent Check, we offer them transparent guidance right from the start of the listing process. This helps them to determine the rent based on sound reasoning and simultaneously contributes to greater transparency and trust in the housing market."
Beike has launched a deposit-free rental offer, as well as an RMB 300,000 (USD 44k) service guarantee for the Shanghai region.
Under the terms of the new offer, tenants with a qualifying credit score can waive deposit requirements for a new lease, with data showing that circa 80% of Shanghai residents would pass this test.
The service guarantee protects both the landlord and the tenant against unexpected issues including non-intentional incidents like fire, gas explosions, spontaneous glass breakage, water leakage, structural damage, and building collapse.
For landlords, the new offer provides up to RMB 20,000 (USD 2.9k) in personal injury coverage per incident within the premises, RMB 10,000 (USD 1.5k) in property damage coverage, and RMB 100,000 (USD 14.8k) in housing incident coverage. For tenants, it provides up to RMB 10,000 USD 1.5k) in personal injury coverage and RMB 5,000 (USD 740.00) in property damage coverage per incident.
Xiao Zhenyu, General Manager of Beike Rentals, said:
"As consumer demands evolve, the core contradiction in the rental market is shifting from 'whether there is housing available' to 'whether one can live well.' During tenancy, tenants worry about having no one to turn to when issues arise, while landlords fear inadequate asset protection—disputes over repairs, difficulties in deposit refunds, opaque fees, and lack of support during emergencies truly erode trust."
"For landlords, from rental income security and fee transparency to guaranteed leasing and professional maintenance, it all boils down to one thing: after entrusting their properties, they no longer need to worry about day-to-day rental operations. For tenants, from pre-move-in inspections and stable tenancy to monthly payment relief and dedicated concierge services, it also comes down to one thing: once they move in, someone is there to manage everything. The upgraded zero-deposit, monthly payment option lowers entry barriers, while the RMB 300,000 guarantee safeguards the baseline of safety." [Translated from Chinese]
Singapore's challenger portal, 99.c0, has added electric vehicle (EV) charging details directly on condo project and listing pages. Users can review a development’s charging facilities alongside the other property information all within the same browsing journey.
99.co says it is the first property marketplace in Singapore to introduce EV charging information directly into the property search experience. Listings show the service provider, the charger's power output, the connector type and charging speed, and the number of connectors at the charging station.
A map view is on its way, and users will be able to search for charging ports within a radius of properties they are interested in.
According to the company's announcement, EVs accounted for 45% of new car registrations in 2025, up from 33.8% in 2024 and 18.2% in 2023.
