Realtor.com has signed a new distribution deal with Movoto that will see its new construction inventory syndicated to the Lower-owned challenger portal, giving builders extra reach and Movoto a deeper slice of the new-build market.
Under the agreement, Movoto, a top-10 U.S. real estate search site, will publish Realtor.com’s builder-direct content, including new-home communities, floor plans, and spec homes. The feed is powered through existing Sales Builder product agreements, so builders gain extra distribution without changing commercial terms.
For builders, the upside is more high-intent traffic and additional qualified leads from an audience that increasingly compares new-build options across multiple portals.
“This partnership gives new construction shoppers more choice and better discovery across platforms they already use,” said Bob Seeman, VP and General Manager of New Homes at Realtor.com. “By extending our builder-direct content to Movoto, we’re helping builders reach more buyers and enabling consumers to see a more complete picture of what’s available in their market.”
“This joint effort allows Movoto to create a better home shopping experience for the tens of millions of consumers we serve and furthers our work to provide the best possible home ownership platform for consumers, agents, and loan officers,” said John Berkowitz, President of Real Estate, Lower.
The partnership comes just months after digital lender Lower agreed to acquire Movoto parent OJO Labs, positioning the site as a key top-five portal within an end-to-end homeownership platform that connects search, agents, and mortgage in a single funnel.
For Lower, more exclusive or semi-exclusive data feeds like Realtor.com’s new-build content help differentiate Movoto while driving lead flow to its loan officers and partner agents.
The move also mirrors Realtor.com’s strategy on the rentals side, where it leans on a rival’s inventory. In March 2024, Zillow became the exclusive provider of multifamily rental listings on Realtor.com, with rental communities of 25 units or more advertised on Zillow also appearing on Realtor.com, complete with 3D tours and interactive media.
