Japan-based portal operator Lifull Co. has expanded its partnership network by teaming up with Tsukuruba, another property marketplace operator. According to a press release the partnership is designed to advance digital transformation in the real estate industry.

Lifull, which runs Lifull Home’s real estate vertical, has entered into an agreement with Tokyo-listed renovations and marketplace specialist Tsukuruba which operates the property marketplaces Cowcamo and Urucamo.

The collaboration involves sharing knowledge and exchanging personnel to conduct joint research, focusing on areas like AI to enhance the transaction process.

“At a time when the real estate distribution market is attracting increasing attention, particularly in urban areas, the two companies will leverage their knowledge to improve operational productivity, accelerate efforts to solve issues across the industry and improve the experience for customers,” said Yuji Ito, president and CEO of Lifull.

Tsukuruba CEO Hiroki Murakami, a former Lifull executive, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating,

“We are pleased to be working with Lifull, which has a wealth of knowledge about the use of generative AI, to promote digital transformation in housing transactions. We hope to utilize the results not only to grow our own business but also to help the entire industry become more customer-oriented.”

The partnership with Tsukuruba is just the latest in a string of similar collaboration agreements Lifull has signed recently. Earlier this year, the company signed similar agreements with brokerages HouseCom and Nomura.
