Kicking off the new year, AVIV Group, which is the group of online classifieds for real estate, automotive, and more under Axel Springer, has named Ait Voncke as the company’s new CEO. He will take over from Ralf Baumann who is retiring at the end of this year.

Voncke has a background rife with executive experience within the classifieds realm. He was previously Senior Vice President & General Manager of Lodging and Activities at Expedia Group. Prior to that, he worked for Groupon International as Vice President & General Manager Travel EMEA

Stephanie Caspar, President National News Media & Marketplaces at Axel Springer:

“Ralf Baumann and I were looking for a proven leader from the tech industry such as Ait to drive forward the integration of our very successful assets at AVIV into one powerful group. In addition, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to Ralf Baumann for his tireless efforts in the service of Axel Springer. He has led AVIV Group as CEO with great commitment and success since the beginning of 2020 and, prior to this, built StepStone into the leading European jobs marketplace. We all wish Ralf all the best for the coming years and are very happy that we can continue to draw on his wealth of experience in the future.”

AVIV Group is comprised of a number of classifieds that offer an avenue for sellers to list property. These companies include SeLoger, Logic-Immo, Belles Demeures, Immowelt, ImmoWeb, Morizon, Novostavby, Byty, Reality, Nehnutelnosti, TopRealty, and Nekretnine.rs.

Ait Voncke, designated CEO of AVIV Group:

“I am extremely excited to take on this task at this pivotal time in the AVIV Group’s development. I look forward to working with the teams in France, Germany, Belgium, and Israel to seize the vast opportunities that lie ahead for the AVIV Group. Together, we will continue to accelerate innovation and improve the service to our customers.”

As the CEO, Voncke will head the further development of initiatives that were supported under Baumann’s leadership that will continue to put AVIV Group’s numerous classifieds at the forefront of the real estate industry.
