Lamudi has agreed to share its proptech expertise and data with the Indonesian property market with the intention of upskilling and training realtors nationwide.

Lamudi will partner up with the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) to develop and deliver training for the market, with a reach of up to 22 million property seekers in Indonesia.

The data source is each of Lamudi's 30,000 agents.

Yoga Priyautama, commercial director at Lamudi, said:

“With our growing business capabilities, we want to be able to provide more up-to-date data for developers to determine the right investment steps.

“The potential is still wide open, and we are proud to be working with HIPMI, as one of the leading business associations in Indonesia, to bring knowledge about the potential of proptech to all stakeholders in the Indonesian property sector.

“To assist the government, we are currently working on developing our property big data capabilities to assist government accountability in measuring the success rate of developments via property searches in that area.

“Seeing this great potential, we want to make efforts to socialize the relevance of proptech in the new property era to expand our reach.”

Sona Maesana, of HIPMI, said the agreement will encourage the association’s members to embrace new tools and online marketing to grow their businesses. “We are collaborating with Lamudi to socialize the potential use of proptech, big data, and to develop online property marketing strategies for our members.”

Lamudi recently found itself under new ownership when Japanese online marketplace operator Lifull acquired the multi-continental portal from Dubai-based Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG), which rebranded to Dubizzle Group last week.
