Domain has reported a significant jump in exclusive audience in September 2026, according to a story published by Elite Agent.
Domain’s exclusive audience grew 11.5% month-on-month to 1.5 million in September and is up 24% since July. Meanwhile, Domain’s commercial platform, CRE, recorded a 19% month-on-month increase in exclusive audience. Average session time on CRE was 2.9 times higher than the nearest competitor site.
Domain and Allhomes reached a combined audience of 7.6 million Australians for the month. Exclusive audience increased by 51% in Queensland, and 27% in New South Wales. Domain has been the most-engaged portal on Facebook and Instagram for the past three years.
Meanwhile, the CoStar-owned portal is an exclusive property partner for the Australian real estate-focused reality TV show, The Block. Using CoStar's Matterport technology, Domain says it has boosted public interest in virtual property tours based on what viewers see on their televisions.
Jason Pellegrino, President at Domain, said:
"Our exclusive audience is higher than it was in July in almost every market, and in NSW our audience reached its highest level this quarter.
"When conditions are uncertain, buyers are more cautious and agents are working harder to connect with them. Matterport helps both sides: consumers can explore a home properly, in their own time, as frequently as they need, to help support their decisions. Agents have a stronger way to showcase their listings. That’s what the campaign and our work with The Block are about."
Domain is Australia's second-largest portal, after the market leader realestate.com.au. Since 2025, realestate.com.au has generated between 3x and 5x more traffic than Domain, so the traffic leadership gap is still significantly large even if it is shrinking with Domain's continued acceleration.
