Sebastian Hofelich to Replace Ulrich Gros as CFO of immowelt

German proptech giant, immowelt, has announced that Sebastian Hofelich has been appointed the new CFO. He will start his new role on March 1, 2021, replacing Ulrich Gros who is stepping down on his own accord. 

Sebastian Hofelichs said:

“I’m really looking forward to soon being part of the immowelt Group and actively shaping its success. The real estate industry is an exciting and also challenging market with a lot of potential.”

Hofelichs has deep experience in finance and digital technology. He was formerly at BMW Group where he held a number of management consulting positions. After that, he moved onto DriveNow as CFO and then CEO. Most recently, he was Group CFO at Intelligent Apps GmbH, a leading ride-share company in Europe that controls FreeNow and Beat. 

Dr. Stephanie Caspar, President Classifieds Media of Axel Springer SE, said:

“With Sebastian Hofelich, we were able to recruit our ideal candidate for the position of CFO at immowelt. With his many years of experience in finance and digital, he will continue to help drive immowelt’s positive development.”

Hofelich will be replacing Ulrich Gros, who has been with the company for two decades. During his tenure as CFO, immowelt.de became a leader in the German real estate market, seeing double-digit annual growth rates as well as the successful merger between Immowelt AG and Immonet GmbH in 2015. 

Prof. Dr. Cai-Nicolas Ziegler, immowelt CEO, said:
