German portal Immowelt will begin using an automatic location check tool designed by German firm Targomo.

Immowelt will use Targomo’s tech to improve user experience during their property search, including calculating commute times, finding local amenities and understanding local transport links.

Felix Kusch, immowelt Country Managing Director, said:

"The immowelt location check is a real and tangible added value for those searching on immowelt.de.

“Anyone who can assess the location of a property at a glance saves valuable time when looking for a suitable apartment or house. During the test phase, users were already enthusiastic about this practical function.”

Immowelt’s location check compares properties within a given area and presents results on an easy-to-read, five-point scale for easy analysis.

A property’s rating is based on the number, proximity and accessibility of various points of interest such as supermarkets, ATMs, pharmacies and S-Bahn stations—without giving away the exact location of a property.

Immowelt have been busy—just last week the German portal announced an expansion of its partnership with RE/MAX to share marketing services.
